When you are building a business, treat people as human beings. Sounds simple enough right. Leave aside the fake management techniques you have read from books. Treat your team members as leaders themselves.

Here is something important. Give only sincere compliments. Catch them doing right. When you see your team members doing something right, appreciate their actions, and give reasons for why you genuinely liked what they did.

On the other hand, what should you do when someone makes a mistake? A good leader does not completely blame an employee for his/her mistakes. Instead, a true leader provides a way out of the mistake, by pointing it out without accusing the wrongdoer. This enables them to acknowledge their mistakes while growing their self-image at the same time.
